It enhances medication safety with visible safety flags and supports chemotherapy, take-home, and supportive prescribing through features like Tallman lettering, incompatibility records, and custom formulary indicators (e.g., subsidised, restricted access, or investigational use). The system enables accurate and safe prescribing using banding tables and configurable rounding rules tailored to patient-specific factors such as weight, age, and body surface area (BSA), supporting both standard and complex treatment protocols.

    Pharmacists can update validation statuses to trigger medication processing workflows. The multi-step validation process ensures pharmacist oversight at each stage. Medications are automatically categorised into actionable statuses such as 'To Order,' 'To Dispense,' 'To Manufacture,' or 'Not Required' for streamlined handling.

    The Compare Rx feature allows users to compare two prescriptions or cycles to identify changes or discrepancies.

    Ensures all essential protocol-based checks are completed prior to chemotherapy administration. This includes verifying patient consent, confirming completion of mandatory blood tests and investigations, reviewing vital signs and device details.

  • Safety Verification Checks

    Includes a Timeout Checklist that must be completed before administering flagged medications, and a Double Check Flag requiring verification by a second user prior to administering high-risk medications—ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Additional safety alerts include:

    • Force Administration Medications prompting follow up actions.
    • Force Infusion End Time Medications: Prompts users to mark infusions as completed after a specified time interval.
    • Auto-Complete Infusion Medications: Automatically completes infusions based on the start time and defined administration duration.

    The system supports a wide range of medication administration types to ensure accurate and safe delivery:

    • PRN/STAT, Take-Home, and Supportive Medicines: Handles medications with varying frequencies, including PRN (as needed), STAT (emergency), and take-home prescriptions, along with supportive medicines.
    • Fluid Bags & Split Dose Workflows: Supports single or multiple fluid bag selections and split-dose workflows, ensuring the correct infusion volume and administration.
    • Time-Critical Administration: Ensures timely administration of critical medications by calculating future administration times to meet precise schedules.
